Lectures and workshop of Prof. Toshiya Takahama in Graphic Art Department, Vilnius Academy of Arts

Prof. Toshiya Takahama from the Musashino Art University, from Tokyo, Japan arrived in Vilnius. He came at the invitation of the Graphic Art Department. Here Prof. Toshiya Takahama will give the public lectures ‘The Ochiishi Plan: Rotting Copperplate Prints’ and will lead the workshop ‘Making copperplate print(intaglio) printed on plaster cubes’ for the students.

From 4 to 10 of December in the Gallery of Vilnius Academy of Arts “5 Malūnai” opened the Solo Exhibition of Prof. Toshiya Takahama.

Toshiya Takahama studied Printmaking at Musashino Art University. In 1997 participated in the program ‘Artist in Residency’ on Awaji Island. Since 1998 he was sponsored by ‘The Japan Foundation’, ‘Pola Art Foundation’ and ‘the API fellowship program of the Nippon Foundation’ and continued to study and create in Bangkok, Thailand. Now he is Professor in the Musashino Art University, in Tokyo, Japan.
