Artist’s Book Lectures for Master’s Students

Location: Department of Graphic Arts, Vilnius Academy of Arts, Lithuania
The goal of the ten artist’s book lectures was to give students an understanding of what an artist’s book is. To understand this, we examined not only the history of the artist’s book, but also the structures of the artist’s book that have come down through the millennia to the present day, the methods and trends of creating artist’s books in different countries of the world.
After the lectures, the students created two artist’s books each – a classic artist’s book and an artist’s book-object.
Great international group, they did a great job, so I wanted to capture them in a photo next to the artist’s books.
