Artist’s Book Triennial Vilnius – 25 Years!
The “1st International Artist‘s Book Triennial Vilnius 1997” was organized 25 years ago on 23rd of September 1997. It has been a very difficult and exciting 25 years, full of joy, new discoveries and disappointments.
Today we are launching 3 new Artist’s Book Projects:
Artist’s Book Museum.
On this moment it’s Virtual Artist’s Book Museum. However, in the future we plan to create a real first Artist’s Book Museum in Northern Europe, with an Artist’s Book Collection, an Education Center and an Artist Residency.

The Artist’s Book Triennials review cycle:
from the first Triennial till the last. We will look back on what has been done over 25 years. How the first Triennial of Artists’ Book was born. Letters, documents, photos. Successes and failures. Our professionalism and our misunderstandings… Yes, we have to say that we apologize to all those whose artist’s books we did not accept into our exhibitions due to incompetence or mistakes. We are sorry for it.
