Lithuanian Artist’s Book Exhibition 2022
(…it is not ‘the new artist’s book project’…)
Since 1993, I have organized 49 international exhibitions of the artist’s books, collages and prints in Lithuania and abroad. More than 1000 artists from 75 countries we selected by the jury for the exhibitions. Artist’s books have been exhibited not only in Lithuania, but also in Austria, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, France, South Korea and the USA. Exhibitions were accompanied by “artist’s book” workshops, lectures and symposiums.
The exhibitions of the Artist’s Book have become an international Art Movement in which Lithuanian artists have actively participated. As many as 91 Lithuanian artists were selected for our international artist’s book exhibitions. Among the participants we famous Lithuanian artists as Petras Repšys, Aleksas Andriuškevičius, Mindaugas Navakas, Rimvydas Re Bartkus, Žibuntas Mikšys, Diana Radavičiūtė, Roberta Vaigeltaitė-V., Rimvydas Kepežinskas, Kęstutis Grigaliūnas, Laisvydė Šalčiūtė, and others.
So, I decided to organize the 50th my curated exhibition only from Lithuanian artist’s books.
That would be a tribute to Lithuania. And thanks to Lithuanian artists.
