Dear Artists,
the websites for the Artist’s Book Museum and the Artist’s Book Collection were attacked by hackers and damaged over the summer. They have ceased to exist. We have lost many interesting posts about artist’s book exhibitions and the artists themselves. This is very sad.
I sincerely apologize, but many of the links on this website—leading to exhibitions and activities previously featured on our Artists’ Book Museum website—no longer work. I am attempting to restore some of them, but it is a lengthy process. We apologize.
Fortunately, however, we have managed to move the Artist’s Book Collection website to a new, reliable platform:
https://artistsbookmuseum.com/
For now, it features only a small portion of our artist’s book collection. We will be adding to it continuously so that your wonderful artist’s books can be seen. We also intend to restore some posts containing information about the 10th International Artist’s Book Triennial. And not only.
For example, after 33 years I visited again my first international printmaking residency in Finland, I met the curator who invited me, who trusted in me in 1993. It was nice to return back, where I start my art activity: https://artistsbookmuseum.com/meeting-with-jukka-raija-partanen/
Additionally, we will be sharing “retro” posts covering past artist’s book exhibitions—of which there have been an incredible number.
Another section will feature posts about the artists who create artist’s books, as well as their studios.
Thank you for being with us – Kestutis Vasiliunas
