Hanne Matthiesen - - "Dear Curators thanks for the invitation to participate in the jury of the 6th International Artists’ Books Triennial Vilnius 2012. I look forward so much to participate in this project. So let me briefly introduce myself. My name is Hanne Matthiesen. I live in a small east coast village, Malling, near Aarhus in Denmark. I studied at the Art Academy in Aarhus and have worked as an artist, teacher, workshop leader, writer, performer, and project manager ever since My main interests lie in the areas of image collage, conceptuel art and artists books. In my art I go for traditional and simple solutions and expressions. Simple and plain techniques, recyckled materials, paper and textiles, and for subjects reflecting existential and/ or ethical matters. For the next few months I’d like to describe and illustrate some of my ideas, experiences and views on artists books and art world – as I see it.
