One evening after jury work we went to Viennozinskis Art School for children and teenagers. The school has classes for classical drawing, composition, ceramics, glass etc, etc. and the lessons are performed by a small gang of professional and enthuciastic teachers – all artists themselves. The pupils live in the neighbourhood and come after ordinary (public)school. They attend up to 12 lessons a week, over a period of several years.
At our visit we found everything lined up for next days evaluation of the semester – a lot of very good works indeed! I was really delighted to visit this place. An old worn out building perhaps, but with a great atmosphere: friendly, warm, welcoming, creative and with a passionated staff!
